Volunteer

Care Net of IRC seeks to empower, educate, and support men and women who are making a pregnancy decision. We cannot do this valuable work without our wonderful volunteers. Because of our volunteers, clients are touched in a special and unique way at Care Net. Clients know that the women and men they interact with at Care Net are not there out of obligation, but from a heart of love and sacrifice.

If you are interested in giving your gifts and talents to support the mission of Care Net, the first step is to complete the volunteer application. All of our volunteer positions are listed below!

Meet With Clients

Volunteer once a week educating, empowering, and supporting women who are making a pregnancy decision. Client advocates provide pregnancy options and support during the Earn While You Learn lessons, as well as walk alongside clients through their pregnancy and mommy journey.

Fatherhood begins in the womb. Care Net embraces the whole family by coming alongside not just the moms during pregnancy, but the dads as well. The Men’s Mentorship Program empowers men to become the courageous fathers they are built to be. Earn While You Learn fatherhood and life skills videos are also available for our male clients.

Support women who are stepping into the role of motherhood. Mommy mentors encourage women throughout their pregnancy, post-partum, and first years of motherhood. Mommy Mentors use our EWYL program to equip and empower moms.

Have a heart to minister to men and women that need emotional healing from abortion? Assist men and women one-on-one or in a group setting through our “Surrendering the Secret” Bible study. Training is provided.

Have a warm and welcoming spirit? Help clients feel comfortable as they come to their appointments. Duties also include answering the phone and some administrative tasks. Computer skills required.

Duties include assisting clients while they shop for baby and toddler items, and organizing supplies as new items come in to the Boutique. There is also minimal donor interaction when items are dropped off.

Behind the Scenes

Raise awareness of sexual risk and encourage young men and women to pursue God’s plan for sex within marriage.

Sort through and bundle baby clothing as new items come in to the Boutique. Duties may also include minimal client interaction by greeting them and helping families shop.

Church Connectors advocate for the cause of Care Net within their own church family. This includes keeping your church informed about the ministry’s needs, encouraging church participation in the Baby Bottle Campaign, Walk for Life, hosting baby showers, and more. Church Connectors raise awareness on what Care Net is doing in the community.

Help with the upkeep of the facilities to ensure the Center runs smoothly and stays in good condition, which enables us to continue serving clients in our area.

Put your creative skills to use by advancing the mission so we can reach more clients. Media and marketing volunteers help us grow and update our social media platforms, and also in the design and production of digital and print promo for events or for Care Net in general.

Volunteer Testimonials

“Volunteering at Care Net has been such an amazing opportunity to serve others. To be able to see the needs being met of women and children in our very own community has been a blessing. From the new educational programs, to praying with them and sharing the gospel, as well as helping them with day today supplies is a very fulfilling experience. The caring hearts of Bonnie, Kendi and their team shines through in everything they do at CareNet.”   – Christi Wade
